❄ Snow ❄
The first snowfall seems too early and very inconvenient for most folks. Even after 55 years, I live in the realm where the first snowfall feels like magic, beauty, and wonder. I think Sunday-night snowfall is a message for us all to call-off Monday. Recently, the Midwest and South got hit with snow, yet my zip code is still watching and waiting.

Waiting on Snow icy rain smacks at me sideways, stings my ear wood chunks stacked in anticipation of warming fires snow blower moved to the front pushing the lawn mower back to the recesses of the shed snow energizes charges the atmosphere binds people together like a Super Bowl winning team brightens the night & illuminates the nocturnal in the morning snow beckons to go slow demands you to balk at dressing, shoveling, and driving suggests staying inside warm and cocooned in flannel and down we wait anticipation high for the slow-motion suspension of snowflakes pushing through clear gelatin oxygen
It is much easier to like snow if you are warm inside and do not have to drive in it. I have both Southern & Northern friends who abhor cold and snow. At least one relative waits with excitement like I do for that first snow. We text a lot about pending flakes. ❄ I have plenty of winter photos that I adore, but these two take the ‘ice'-ing’.

Wishing you warmth inside and out with just enough snow to enjoy! ❄

You capture the ambiguity of winter perfectly. I'm a winter person myself. Love the photos and their description.
LOVE IT, sorry you missed ours, DAD
